Scott Hickman is the founder of Foundations for Families, Inc. and is a native of Northern Michigan. He earned a Bachelor degree in Psychology and completed a Masters degree in counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. Thirteen years of working in secular settings, such as substance abuse, inpatient, crisis intervention, and sexual offender programming had consistently revealed to him the need for spiritual healing in his clients. He has served in ministries such as Youth For Christ – Kankakee, IL. and House of Hope – Traverse City, MI. Scott left House of Hope in 1997 to begin Foundations for Families and to begin serving individuals and families in Emmet and Charlevoix counties. Scott and his wife Thelma live in Petoskey with their three children, Gabriela, Joseph, and Danae.
